old boy, previously seen for his sore throat, is brought into A&E by his
concerned mother. You note that he has swelling around the eyes
and the legs. Urine dipstick shows haematuria and LM
shows a lumpy bumpy appearance

gentleman under your care for his Rheumatoid Arthritis comes to you complaining
of swelling 'all over' and frothy urine. On light microscopy you notice that
positive Congo Red stain with apple green
birefringence

her back. Ultrasound reveals a radio opaque abnormality. Urine pH was 6.8 and
plasma K+ was 7.0
4. 72 y/o
stoic ex factory worker is brought in by his daughter after an episode of
'blood in the urine.' He denies any pain, or other problems. His daughter
comments on his weight loss. His PSA was 2.0
5. 3 y/o boy presents with haematuria,
temperature 38 degrees C and weight loss. You note that there is an absence of
part of his iris, and he seems to have learning difficulties. The results of
his karyotyping along with the clinical exam all suggest one complex, and aids
the diagnosis of his renal pathology.
